Yearly Meeting Gathering 2009 York, 25 July to 1 August 2009. Community and Connexions Created.

The Gathering in York is now over - but we hope Friends present and absent will continue the spirit of the Gathering through the rest of the year and beyond!

On this website you can continue to read and listen to the speakers' presentations, watch the videos made during the week, and read the other articles posted during the week using the tag cloud links below.

We hope you will continue to use the Woodbrooke Workpack (and keep an eye out for the follow-up workpacks), and also add your comments to the individual articles here, on the YMGBlog, on the discussion forum, and in your own meetings and communities.

  • Welcome to the Yearly Meeting Gathering blog!

From the outset it’s always been our hope that people will spend a year at Yearly Meeting Gathering – whether they will present at York for the full week, joining us for part of the week as day visitors, or prevented from attending on campus.

One way in which we hope Quakers across Britain and beyond will take part in Yearly Meeting Gathering is through our website – and we hope to cover the event like never before!

Using the latest social and collaborative media tools of blogging, Twitter, Flickr, YouTube, and others – as well as the usual session recordings and transcripts you’ve come to expect.

Keep an eye on this page – or subscribe to our RSS feed to learn more.
